Ryan Matthews is a skilled problem solver who approaches property development with innovation and individuality. A self-made success, Ryan began his career in the construction industry 20 years ago, carving out a path of multipreneurship in various successful business ventures. His interest in property grew from observing a lack of affordable residential property that was functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Combining personal experience with a keen desire to provide a market solution, Tuakiri was born out of Ryan’s desire to make a difference. Through Tuakiri, Ryan is able to fulfil his purpose of providing homes for families, in addition to driving wealth creation for Kiwi property investors.
Limin Croft is a seasoned project manager with over three decades of experience in the building and construction industry. Her career trajectory showcases remarkable achievements in project management, property development, and team leadership. Limin has been actively involved in both brownfield and greenfield developments, ranging from 2-lot subdivisions to large-scale residential projects of up to 700 lots. She recently managed the compliance for a subdivision of over 200 lots, covering COA, EACC, S224C, and Title processes, demonstrating strong team-building skills. With qualifications in Architectural and Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting, and a Diploma in Business Computing, Limin possesses a diverse skill set essential for effective project management. Her certifications as a HomeStar Practitioner NZGBC, PRINCE2 Practitioner, and PMP further validate her proficiency in project management methodologies. She is passionate about development and is committed to building quality homes for the public with speed.
Chengjun Li, known as Daniel, is a highly experienced construction site manager with over three years of hands-on experience in successfully delivering projects. After graduating with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Structural), he has established a proven track record in project planning, scheduling, and budget management. What sets Daniel apart is his strong leadership and team management skills. He possesses a unique ability to motivate and direct construction teams, fostering a collaborative environment that drives projects towards successful completion. Daniel's deep understanding of construction regulations, codes, and safety standards in New Zealand ensures that projects are executed in compliance with industry best practices and legal requirements. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are among Daniel's greatest strengths. He facilitates seamless collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, fostering trust and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. His ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner ensures that all stakeholders remain informed and aligned with project objectives.
Jia Shi Li, known as Camilla, graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Business Studies in Management. She brings extensive expertise in construction documentation, budget management, permitting, compliance, and problem-solving to her role. Budget management is a critical aspect of her responsibilities, and Camilla excels in this area. She has a proven track record of managing construction budgets effectively, maintaining quality standards while working within budget constraints. Her ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation has been invaluable in delivering projects on time and within budget. Camilla's familiarity with obtaining permits and ensuring regulatory compliance has been a significant asset. She navigates the complex permitting processes with ease, ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained promptly and that projects adhere to all applicable regulations and codes. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of building codes and regulations, Camilla ensures that all construction documents are meticulously organized and that projects are closed out with full compliance.

Richard Matthews is a multifaceted professional with a proven track record of success across diverse industries. Armed with technical expertise, sales acumen, entrepreneurial drive, and a passion for sports, Richard is poised to make a significant impact in any endeavor he undertakes.

Andrew is Managing Director of Xpect Property, a property development and strategy consulting business. He works with property developers and owners throughout the country on their businesses and across a wide spectrum of primarily residential projects including townhouse infills, large subdivisions, and apartments. His specialties are complex projects, unique projects and continuous improvement. Prior he was CEO of Universal homes including a 1500 home subdivision and delivering hundreds of homes a year, a Project Director in NZ and the United States and was head of Development Management at Housing New Zealand. Having lived property development for over 25 years, he is an advocate of advancing the development industry and building people's futures. To this end he lectures property development at Unitec and is a founding board member of the Urban Development Institute of New Zealand and has written a few books. Andrew has degrees in architecture and property He brings extensive experience & knowledge in the development landscape to Tuakiri.
JB is the founder of Squirrel, which arranges over $2.5 billion in mortgages each year. He has undertaken development projects himself and works with several builders and developers on development finance. Before starting Squirrel, JB held senior roles at ANZ and Westpac. He brings considerable finance and risk management experience to Tuakiri, as well as an acute understanding of the housing market.
Simon is the founder of Corvara Capital Consulting. He has over 35 years’ experience in financial management and corporate finance having worked for merchant banks, high net worth individuals and acting as an independent corporate advisor. Over the last 25 years, Simon has focussed solely on privately owned businesses, working with owners and executive teams, in improving operational and financial performance, getting businesses ready for sale and if required executing the sale process. Prior to founding Corvara Capital Consulting, Simon held senior management and advisory positions with Flowers Financial Group, Cullen Investments, Bancorp Merchant Bank, Sibson & Co, Gates Opticians, Telecom New Zealand and NZI Bank. Simon has a MBA and Bachelor of Commence Degree from Auckland University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He brings a wealth of fiduciary and governance experience to Tuakiri.
